On May 5, 1994, I set out on my own to establish my solo law practice. It’s hard to believe that was 14 years ago, but that’s how quickly time flies. I can honestly say that I have had no regrets whatsoever; I am blissfully self-employed. I have certainly learned many things along the way, and I would probably do some things differently on a second attempt, but no regrets. It’s a great feeling! 14 years–woohoo!

Have you ever attained restitution in your efforts with David Landau, aka David Hornstein?

Thanks for writing. No, I have not received payment from David K. Landau. I regret ever meeting that unsavory character.
Thank you, too, for the heads-up about his latest activities. I have been looking at the Madison Town Hall Forum from time to time. When I read his smarmy comments there, I want to puke.
There is no need to take my word for it. You can contact any of the creditors who are named in the letter I posted online. They would have some very interesting stories to tell.
Also, until very recently, Landau was listed on the “Deadbeat Parents” site of the Illinois Child Support Enforcement Office. Here is a link to a cached copy of that page, showing $39,437 owed in past-due support.

There’s a lot more I could say about this, but the main points are in the letter.
I received a threatening e-mail from Landau yesterday, demanding that I take down my letter. I replied and said I am not taking down anything. Everything in that letter is true and I am not going to be bullied by that guy.
I posted my letter as a warning to people who might come into contact with David Landau. That includes people in Madison. I am not saying he is doing anything wrong now, but I am cautioning people to be very, very careful in dealing with him.
